This project was constructed with the help of a collaborator and classmate, Danny Klag. The project consisted of two mannequins, each with a keyboard placed at its arms, and a black and white monitor mounted on a custom built steel stand for its head. My face was projected on one monitor, Danny's on the other. When a message was typed on one keyboard, it was immediately spoken aloud by the face on the monitor at the other position. In this way, one could send an "instant message" to another user.
